Evening creeps in
Anwyn Martin
Snapshot 1/100. A.Martin |
"I just snap away
over my back fence
when there is anything to see,
which is often.
I sorted thru about a hundred to pick these.
I have no artistically creative bone in my body
(No) words beyond
‘evening creeps in’
except perhaps
‘the colours of darkness’,
‘shades of night’,
‘skies ablaze.’
I like your thought
– life is about colour and shades.
...the appreciation and the creation
are not necessarily linked attributes."
Cheers,
Anwyn

I asked Anwyn what words she'd put
with these images. shared my noticing
that colour,
modestly forgotten, is so essential to the wellbeing
our places bring us.
Don't need to be an artist,or have an artistic eye.
the conversation is between the person and the place
and the photographed product is an incidental byproduct.
They are Evidence of a moment shared between a person and a
place.
